Raymond Ray Elbert Baker,

age 81, of Suwanee, GA, passed away on Saturday,
February 5, 2011.
He is survived by is wife of 61 years Janie (Elder) Baker of Suwanee, GA,
children, Lorena and Sandy Rogers and their son Dakota of Alpharetta, GA, Karen
and Jeffrey DeMarco of Laurel, MD, Richard and Becky Jo Baker and their children
Kylie, Austin "AJ" and Eorja of Frederick, MD, brother: Kenneth and Peggy Baker
of Cumming, GA, several nieces and nephews.


Ray was born in 1929 in Douglasville, GA to Jessie and Annie Mae (Miner) Baker.
Ray attended until 1949 the Georgia School for the Deaf at Cave Springs, GA
where he excelled in Athletics, Football, Baseball, and Track. Ray retired after
many years from Georgia Tech in the Printing Department. Ray was of the Baptist
faith and has been very active with the Deaf Ministries at many local churches.

Brinkley Smith 
passed away at the Embracing
Hospice - January 30. H was 82. He was a former student at GSD. He is
survived by his wife, Glenda, a daughter Evelyn Smith and three sons,
Ronnie Smith of Acworth , David Smith of Cornelia and Reeves Smith of
Loganville. The family will receive friends from 4pm to 7pm on Friday
Feb 4th at Henry Funeral Home in Lithonia, Georgia . Chapel Service on
Sat Feb 5 at 11:00am at Henry Funeral Home. After the service, burial
will take place at 1:30 om at Powder Springs Cemetary.
